
Amtore developed the Executive Project and implemented the main indoor wireless coverage solutions carried out on the Rio de Janeiro Metro lines, including Claro’s 3G Coverage System, Vivo’s 3G Coverage System, Nextel’s Trunking Coverage System, TETRA Earth-Train Coverage System and most recently, the DAS System for 5G DSS coverage for Claro, Vivo and TIM.
In addition to this experience, Amtore has carried out the design of microwave links, low-frequency data links (UHF and VHF) and point-to-multipoint links to meet the communication networks in several hydroelectric plants in Brazil and abroad.

In 2012, the Rio de Janeiro Subway acquired from Telvent, now Schneider Electric, the TETRA Communication system, replacing the old analog carrier wave system that was being used at the time. Amtore carried out the installation of cables and track equipment in the tunnels and stations. Amtore also installed the on-board cables and equipment throughout the fleet, including the new C.R.R.C. trains, imported from China.

This agreement provided for the installation of a radio frequency transmission system through base stations, optical repeaters and radiating cables installed in the tunnels.
